Dekkers vs. Pena: The Cost of Battle

A tribute to one of the hard-fought battles of the golden era of kickboxing. This poster captures Ramon Dekkers and Héctor Peña in combat, alongside rare images documenting the physical aftermath of their fight.

Inspired by the bold visual language of vintage Japanese fight magazines, the design goes beyond the action inside the ring. The photographs beneath tell the other side of the story: the weight cuts, injuries, exhaustion and punishment that came with competing at this level.

A piece created for collectors and fight fans who appreciate the raw, uncompromising history of old-school kickboxing — when the consequences of a fight could still be seen long after the final bell.
